Sun Valley Community Town Hall with South Coast AQMD

In response to concerns from our Sun Valley community, I introduced SB 526 to address air pollution from local aggregate facilities. I am happy to update you that South Coast AQMD has agreed to revise the existing Rule 1157 to meet the goals of the bill, without the need for the bill to move forward. My office is working closely with South Coast AQMD to ensure your input is considered during the rulemaking process.
