District Representatives
Kristi Lopez, MSW she/her/hers
District Director
With over a decade of experience working in the California Legislature, Kristi is dedicated to addressing issues in underserved communities and ensuring equal access to government services. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from California State University, Northridge. In her role as District Director, Kristi supervises and coordinates district office operations.
Star Resendez they/she/ella
District Representative for Lake Balboa, Sylmar, Sun Valley, Arleta, and Van Nuys
With a Master of Social Work from California State University, Northridge, Star brings extensive experience in community service, development, and advocacy, combined with a strong focus on equity, access, and inclusion. Star is dedicated to strengthening our communities, creating meaningful opportunities, and making a lasting impact for all constituents of SD 20.
Brandon Gonzalez he/him/el
District Representative for Lakeview Terrace, Panorama City, San Fernando, Shadow Hills, and Kagel Canyon
Brandon's commitment to public service is driven by the issues he observed in the Van Nuys, North Hollywood, and Panorama City neighborhoods where he grew up. After graduating from University of California, San Diego, with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, he decided to bring his unique perspective to district work. Brandon’s lived experiences help him to properly identify constituents' needs and organize community-focused events.
Andrés Garcia he/him/his
District Representative for Mission Hills, North Hills West, Sunland/Tujunga, Burbank, and North Hollywood NE
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Andrés has an impressive background in government. He previously worked for the Democratic Governors Association in Washington D.C. and the Office of U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. Andrés is enthusiastic about returning to his home state of California to serve the communities where he grew up.
Teodora E. Reyes she/her/they
District Representative for Canoga Park, Reseda, Winnetka, and Pacoima
As a first-generation student, Teodora pursued her undergraduate career at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies with a minor in Public Policy. She is an experienced grassroots community organizer, working to bridge policy and advocacy to drive positive change. Inspired by her experiences growing up in Pacoima, Teodora strives to empower constituents as a District Representative by facilitating access to the services and resources they need for success.
