Welcome, Burbank & San Fernando Valley Friends!
Happy Pride Month! Pride is not only a time to celebrate our diversity and promote unity, it is also a reminder that the quest for equality for our LGBTQ+ community is far from accomplished.
As we close out Pride Month join us this Saturday, June 29, for our 2nd Annual San Fernando Valley Pride! We will rally and march to let the Valley know, ¡Míranos, aquí estamos! (Look at us, here we are!)

Senate District 20 Little Known Fact:
San Fernando Valley, and Van Nuys in particular, was one of Los Angeles’s top destinations for lesbian homebuyers in the 1990s. As early as the 1950s lesbian clubs, like Club Laurel, thrived in North Hollywood and Studio City. Over the next two decades jobs at movie studios and Lockheed, coupled with inexpensive housing, allowed single women to support themselves in the Valley. By 1997, one real estate agent observed, “They’re moving out to the Valley to do what everyone else does: have a quieter, less hectic life, and do the suburban thing.”

May you and your families be well,
