Statement on Appointment as Senate Health Committee Chair

SACRAMENTO - Senator Caroline Menjivar (D- San Fernando Valley) made the below statement following her appointment as Chair of the Senate Health Committee by President pro Tempore Senator McGuire.

“It is with extreme gratitude to Pro Tem McGuire that I accept the immense responsibility and honor of serving as Chair of the Senate Health Committee. As Chair, I will strive to meet the holistic health and behavioral health needs of our diverse communities statewide. I will lead the committee in ensuring our recent investments are working as planned and effective, and we will continue to push for greater access to care for the most vulnerable Californians.
