Let’s meet up in the community!
Welcome, Burbank & San Fernando Valley Friends! |
It’s officially autumn, bringing fall celebrations AND your State Senator back to Burbank and the San Fernando Valley. The 2025 legislative session is over, allowing me more time in the district during the week to attend events I would normally have to miss when I am in Sacramento. Scroll down to the Upcoming Events section, and meet me out in the community!
Legislative Update |
While awaiting the Governor’s decision on the legislation we sent for his signature, my colleagues and I represented California at Climate Week in New York! As a panelist and during networking, I was sure to bring your lived experiences and the concerns of the 818 to the forefront of conversation, highlighting the need for an inclusive, environmental justice lens when crafting policy. When making these decisions, we must put people first, not as an afterthought when historic legislation passes! WATCH my on-the-ground report with Assemblywoman Celeste Rodriguez.
In the Community |
Hosting coffee with the community was one of my top priorities for my first week back! Thank you, Lake Balboa, for showing up to hear updates on my bills, and to voice your concerns on housing, jobs, immigration, and making sure state dollars are invested in the San Fernando Valley. A huge thank you to Lee’s Coffee House for hosting! Watch the recap HERE!
