  1. California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet): The official state agency dedicated to serving veterans.

 

  1. Veterans Crisis Line: A 24/7 hotline for veterans in crisis. Dial 988 and press 1, text 838255, or chat online.

  1. VA Caregiver Support Program (CSP): Clinical services to caregivers of eligible and covered veterans enrolled in the VA health care system. There is a CSP team located in every VA facility. For more information, contact (310) 478-3711 ext. 43599.

 

  1. CalVet: The Veterans Homes of California offer affordable long-term care to aged and disabled veterans as well as their eligible spouses and domestic partners. Services range from independent living programs with minimal support to 24/7 skilled nursing care for veterans with significant clinical needs. Contact 1-800-952-5626 and visit: 

 

  1. HUD-VASH: Through public housing authorities, VA provides rental assistance vouchers for privately owned housing to veterans experiencing homelessness.

 

  1. Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF): Provides comprehensive supportive services to very low income veterans and their families who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their homes.

 

  1. American Legion: Advocates to help veterans achieve meaningful careers, educations, health-care services, friends and stable homes.
