SACRAMENTO – Earlier today at the Capitol, hourly workers, labor leaders and legislators called for the passage of SB 878 (Leyva), a bill that will guarantee reliable scheduling practices for millions of workers in California.

Authored by Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino), SB 878 is a response to the rise of unreliable scheduling that can leave employees unable to plan childcare, attend college or take the second job that so many workers need in order to make ends meet. The Reliable Scheduling Act will:
