Senator Leyva Honors Jia Pon Cafe & Bakery in Chino as “Small Business of the Year”
SACRAMENTO – Earlier today, Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino) recognized Jia Pon Cafe & Bakery in Chino as the 20th State Senate District “Small Business of the Year” for 2019.
Opening in 2014, Jia Pon Cafe & Bakery has quickly become a mainstay of the greater Chino community whose enthusiastic and hardworking staff continues to eagerly serve the local and regional clientele. Serving freshly daily baked breads, beverages, pastries and custom cakes, the small business uses high quality ingredients in preparing the various drinks and baked goods for its customers. The bakery also donates remaining baked goods to local charities at the end of each day.
“As a small business with a clear focus on its customers and local community, Jia Pon Cafe & Bakery has distinguished itself as a comfortable place to get a tasty pastry or morning coffee where employees sometimes start their customers’ orders before they even walk in the door,” Senator Leyva said. “Jia Pon is truly deserving of this recognition as the 20th State Senate District ‘Small Business of the Year’.”
Owned by Frank Choi, Jia Pon Cafe & Bakery was founded with the support of his church. The owner supports missionary work in Mexico, Asia and the Middle East. Additionally, the bakery has hosted community and student-oriented events in collaboration with Senator Leyva’s district office, Chaffey College – Chino campus, City of Chino and the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce.
