Over 150 attendees from throughout the 20th State Senate District benefited from the presentations of individuals who invested their time and expertise to explain life lessons they had learned outside of their traditional academic experience. These presentations came from numerous successful individuals from a wide array of vocational disciplines including labor, education, public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Among other subjects, the presentations included: financial literacy; career tech educational opportunities; interview and job retention skills development; the benefits of having a mentor; and overcoming obstacles.
