Fall Open House
Senator Connie M. Leyva held her 2nd Annual Fall Open House on Friday, October 21, 2016 at her Chino district office. This year, the Senator partnered with Cal Poly Pomona's College of Agriculture and LA County Fairplex.
Over two hundred community residents and local leaders came out to meet both the Senator and her staff, as well as discuss issues important to them and their families. Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Agriculture provided pumpkins from their harvest as treats for visitors while the Fairplex mascots, Daisy and Thummer, greeted the Senator’s guests. The City of Chino Community Services Department had a resource booth with information containing safety tips for the holiday season. Also, Senator Leyva partnered with Woodcrest Junior High’s art classes and exhibited some of the student art work for all to enjoy!
All of Team Leyva was dressed up in a Grease theme (T-Birds and Pink Ladies), which attendees greatly enjoyed. As one of the many highlights of the year, Senator Leyva looks forward to next year’s Fall Open House.
